Purissima Hills Water District selects Munsys to manage their water network assets

Sacramento, CA, February 3, 2009 – Munsys, Inc. announces that the Purissima Hills Water District of Los Altos Hills, California, has purchased the Munsys® Water application to map and manage the assets of their water distribution system. Munsys Applications are part of an integrated family of solutions that solve the asset mapping and management needs of utility and local government organizations.

“As a small water district we have limited skills and time to learn how to create more than a CAD drawing with lines and text. Munsys has enabled us to move from a basic CAD base map to an attributed asset inventory stored in Oracle,” says Patrick Walter, General Manager. “I’m excited that we now have a system that is easy enough for me to use, allows me to connect the map to our billing data, as well as output data directly for hydraulic modeling when needed. Also, being able to take any part of our network and show it in Google Earth helps with visualizing where the assets are located.”

The Munsys® solutions include a central database with pre-defined Oracle® Spatial data models and integrated applications for the management of water, sewer, drainage, cadastral, roads and electricity infrastructure. Autodesk® design products are utilized for spatial data creation and editing. Traditional GIS software and other databases are easily integrated using OpenGIS® and gateway technologies.
